Camping in the South

We consider the South the following states: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Camping in the South will be a delight to your entire family. With thousands of miles of white sand beaches, three major mountain ranges, millions of acres of forests and lakes, and several of America's main rivers, the South has something for everyone. Whether you are a history buff or a beach bum or you really like blue and bar-b-que, you will find it all in the South.

One of the best places to start your exploration of the south is Virgina It is a state that is rich in history and heritage. One of the original thirteen colonies of America it is home to the Capitol of the United States, Washington, DC. Antebellum homes, pristine beaches and excellent camp grounds, both public and private abound.

Just south of Virgina is the beautiful state of North Carolina. It's pristine beaches and breathtaking mountains make it a logical next stop. The next stop on your southern trek should be North Carolina
